Design Facilitating Learning

I am a big fan of the Ted-ed youtube channel. This channel basically creates various animated shorts about different educational topics. Often times the animation for the video compliments the topic. In their most recent video they talked about the myth of 10 labors of the demi-god Hercules. However they used 8-bit animation to give it the feel of an old school video game. In many ways the quest of Hercules felt like levels of a video game and the design of the video made the topic so much more interesting. I believe that when you have creators to make visually stimulating content for educational purposes it increases the reach of the content and create a much more informed population. The video can be seen here.
