This past weekend, I was back home in New Jersey to visit friends, catch a concert, to see my parents again, and to receive my annual flu shot. While at the CVS Minute Clinic, I learned about the Barnes Collection through some small talk with the doctor on duty.
The Barnes houses a collection of paintings, sculptures, and household objects, covering all the way from impressionism to early modernism. The particular groupings of the exhibitions were crafted by Dr. Barnes; each collection highlights specific visual similarities that typically go unnoticed.
The webpage also includes an algorithmic sorter that lets visitors take a peek at the collection beforehand: https://collection.barnesfoundation.org/.
