Akira

On 9/29 I attended a midnight showing of the acclaimed sci-fi movie, Akira, at the Ritz on the Bourse.  Although I was tired from the late showing time, I was immediately struck by the quality of the artwork and animation from the 1980s.  Especially the last 30 minutes of the movie came across as a big question mark with incredibly fast pacing and for me, very little time to process everything.  I noticed patterns in the increasingly fast pacing of the movie and the recurring themes of violence, blood.
