The deathly hallows animation in Harry Potter isn’t a simple animation at all, but it has a lot of elements that I love.
First off harry potter is adapted from a book, and the sound to this particular scene is eliminated except for the narration that feels like someone reading an excerpt from the film
It also had a great transition from Film to animation as a feather falls and changes animated styles from realistic to a more simple three color animation with gold black and white. The color layering and transparencies do a great job of building background and foreground and effectively convey the idea of this being a memory of a legend passed down in its hazy effects. These two constant elements create a great deal of narrative consistency that is a striking change of pace from the rest of the film and is a really present respite and a stressful film.
