Data Visualization in Our Everyday Lives

While watching some of the live news coverage on the results of today’s midterm elections, I was immediately intrigued by the intricate graphics that were used to display the various vote counts and projected victories. This got me thinking a lot more about how graphics and computer programs could greatly enhance the audience’s viewing pleasure while effectively. Even though our projects now are focused more on a abstract representation of our data, it is definitely interesting to see more literal applications and visualizations used in such relevant settings. It also got me thinking about how data like vote counts, demographics, and House/Senate seatings might be represented as wearable objects.
