Everlasting Sigh

Everlasting Sigh is a song by Moses Sumney. It is very melodic with up tempo and rhythmic percussion. It’s album cover does a perfect job of matching what we hear with what is seen in it. There is a lot of layering sort of perpetuating the idea of fullness of sound in the song itself and its repetition with subtle variation. There are moments where the hard edges of prisms break into wavy lines that feel more like the soft transitions of his voice. All of the album is cover with only a few spots with less noise which is how the song felt in terms of information as well. To me it feels like a perfect blend of sound with an abstract image.

I’d encourage you to check out the song.

The rest of his body of work is much quieter and a little more somber . I like the songs Plastic,  and Man on the Moon .
