I came across this article a little bit ago, and I strongly urge you to take a look at it – even if it’s just for the pictures.
Luca Guadagnino, who directed Oscar winning film “Call Me By Your Name,” contributed to the interior design of a property on Lake Cuomo, Italy. He supposedly always wanted to be an interior designer. Looking through the photos of the interior of the home, I really admire his color choices and his use of texture on the walls. This design is very minimal yet complete, bright yet harmonious.
The property itself used to be some sort of factory. Guadagnino, the designer and filmmaker, says of the owners: “Of all the great houses you could find on the lake, Federico and Kerry decided to go for this old factory,” Guadagnino says. “Here, everything important is inside.” It’s very beautiful how he was able to transform this space into something so elegant and aesthetic.
