Fela Kuti is an iconic musician from Nigeria who took every opportunity that he could to critique the corrupt Nigerian government and Nigerian society overall. His lyrics were scathing and thought provoking. When he sung you could hear his frustration and anger with the country that he felt was being held from greatness by the rich and corrupt.
Not only were his lyrics fantastic but so was his cover art. With the help of the artist Lemi Ghariokwu his covers all told a distinct story and expressed a clear emotion.
