Over this past weekend, I made it back to The Barnes Foundation for the first time since I visited when I toured Penn as a high school student. I was especially excited to see the specially exhibition about Berthe Morisot, a female artist who produced — impressionist works during her lifetime. It was super inspiring to see her life’s work and read about how she totally defied social norms and became extremely successful as a woman in the second half of the 19th century. Below are some of my favorite works.
